Tonight was our first Club post Service Project and it was AWESOME!!! We took electronics from kids during the week, so leaders played photographer and then we made a photo disc for the them! So, this first Club post service project we shared a meal together, casted a vision for community for the coming year, and watched the slideshow of all the Service Project photos! It was great! So many new faces there - lots kids who went on Service Project but had never been to YL Club. When the evening was over one of our students who is an extremely talented guitar player, played for the group. It was fun to see him light up as he shared his passion and talent with his friends! (He also played for us during the trip, which was so fun!! He's one that had never been to YL before the trip.)
There is a lot of excitement for ministry here right now! Kids are excited, leaders are rejuvenated, and there have been several positive school administrative changes. The Lord is doing some BIG things here and I'm grateful to be a part of it! Thank you for making this week possible for myself and for so many of my high school friends! Some of your financial support of me here went towards Service Project scholarships so kids could experience the week. Your generosity also helped provide food and other Club supplies (like photo discs) so we can keep meeting and reaching kids in San José. THANK YOU for changing lives!
